Throughout the year we offer the opportunity to purchase a whole or half of an animal. What does this look like in your freezer? Well, Dexters are smaller cattle so an entire animal in packaged form is typically 200-250 pounds take home beef. Pricing is based off of what is called hanging weight. Hanging weights have averaged 430 pounds in the past. We pay the processing fees and you pay $5.00 per pound hanging weight. We are blessed to have our animals processed at the USDA inspected facility, Smith Valley Meats in Rich Creek, VA. This is especially important as a USDA inspected facility guarantees not only that the meat is handled safely, but the animal has the minimum of stress on its last day and is humanely dispatched!

In order to do this, you must have the ability to meet us within 15 miles of Marion, VA or Shady Valley, TN to pick up your beef.
